Buying Power
In 1963, the average man's income was $4,500/year. The average household income was $6,200/year. 97% of men age 25-54 participated in the workforce, and 43% of women. The median price of a new home was $17,200. We'll define a man's buying power as income / home price. In 1963, this was 0.26.
Today, the median price of a new home is $288,000. The average man's wage is $46,481. That makes his buying power 0.16. Therefore the average man's buying power has declined 40% since 1963.
These days 74% of women age 25-54 participate in the workforce. Therefore the labor pool proportional to the population has expanded by 22%. This gives corporations an advantage that could have contributed to men losing 40% of their income.
This is probably the greatest theft from the American people in history. But what's even more alarming is the fact that women make 21% less than that! Therefore women make 53% less than the average man in 1960. The prime directive of feminism today, is to get women to only earn 40% less, so they're equally as disempowered as men.
